Default Music, Games, Movies/TV. Tiddle taddle?

Considering the sort of site this is why are 'music, games, movies/TV' demoted to Tiddle taddle.

Why are they not up in 'The couch' section of the forum.

It seems alot less people visit the 'tiddle taddle' section of the forum, yet these seem like rather more relevant subjects than often appear in 'general discussions'.

I'm probably wrong, but I thought I'd ask anyway!

because those topics are mainly spam topics.

as i understand, every post under "tiddle-taddle" section does NOT add to your post count.

though, i can see a little tiddle - taddle action in the couch area. xD

    ^^^never mind what i said. i totally agree with your idea/thought ;D

I've never understood the exact policy on post count as it applies to the Tiddle Taddle section. I have a keen interest in movies and television and I am pretty sure that a plurality if not a majority of my posts have been in in the movies/television section. Yet, as far as I can tell, those posts do add to my post count (at least as far a running tally of my posts--not sure how it affects my eligibility for the trusted invites, for example, since I have not met the temporal requirement yet anyway).

I also believe that there is not a whole lot of difference between tiddle taddle and the general discussion section insofar as spam topics goes: on the first page of general discussion, we have the gender topic (how many times can you read "i'm a man" without slowly losing your mind), what are you doing now, what browser do you use and how many languages do you speak. These are topics which tend to attract spam responses, especially as they climb over 100 replies and no one reads anything--just jump in and dash off a few words or a phrase and move on.

Anyway, I'm fine with whatever the rules are--I'm just not exactly sure how those postcount rules work in practice.

Well they are more specific subjects IMO, that's why they have their own section. I usually have to move threads to those sections because of people posting topics related to music/games/movies&TV in general.

Regarding post count, every post you make in Tiddle-Taddle counts towards your number of posts except the games section to my knowledge.

I never even open the tiddle taddle section, while movies/tv are more relevant, most of the threads in that entire section are a joke. I like the way their hidden from view.

That's what I mean though, why are these topics being pushed down into a seperate sub-division. When they should be in with general discussion etc.

they are at the bottom because these sections receive so many new threads each and everyday alot of them being spam. This way in the tiddle taddle they are placed in its specific category keeping it more organized and easier to find threads on certain topics. Now can you imagine if every music, TV and movie thread was allowed in the general area how cluttered and congested it would become there full of lots of spam and with that many threads in one place it will be more prone to get dupe threads which created more clutter. Plus its not that hard to scroll a little bit down and click on tiddle taddle
