Thread: adding little spice to intro. checking

Well I have a number of comments, most of which have already been said (thanks Hummingbird).

1. We already have a help channel for this sort of thing. Only Intro Mods and Staff should be looking at profile links and ONLY if it is absolutely necessary.

2. You want to filter out people but that is not , and never has been, the goal of T-I. Our goal is to make our site an inclusive forum that is reachable to almost all. To keep our site alive we need new people on a daily basis and trying to keep people out will only harm us in the long run.

3. Keeping yet another channel staffed would prove to be time prohibitive.



The answer here, is not another channel, but more Intro Mods in the Help Channel. Profile links can then be given via PM if it is 100% necessary.

He he I never meant that As I have posted in another thread yesterday.the site need elite members who have knowledge and also newbie's who want help..and unless both of them are there nothing gonna be intresting.


But here what I though about increasing People..
Well I have checked more then 10intro and reppwd 3 people in...so what about other here is the deal..Well all of them want to join something quick and so they apply here for quick responce but when they make a error first time and someone will check it and responce beck it will take like 1day for each error...for me it took 2-3 weeks eventhough I didn't had much error's you can llook back into mine for the reason....So many of them leave hope and they think it's kind of impossible to get everything right...Even at a point I was little dipressed..he he

So now if we have a real IRC chennal the guy and walk in hit the link who ever will be online will guide him for the error with realtime chat so now he can correct it in half and hour or 1 with more secure and friendly way....

this way we can have reputation for our site and also More members....I am not saying we don't need a lot of ratio proofs and all even a guy with no tracker can join..and I will be happy to assist him around...Only thing he should not lie....

This already happens, plenty of users come into the help channel asking for help with their intro's. The problem you face is at what point do you say no, no more help. We are not here to babysit someone through their application, the idea is they read the rules, understand them and then post an intro.

Creating another channel will just encourage people to do irc interviews, you also have to think of the staffing, peoples availability and the amount of people available at one time.

I'm sorry but I just don't see any need for it.
Keep them idea's coming though :)
