Thread: Some more suggestions

I have 3 more suggestions for the members of this forum.

Firstly I would love to have a possibility to have a custom title above our progress bar.This can be done by opening a thread by one of the mods where every user who wants it may ask for a Custom title.Moreover there can be asked some conditions like a minimum of posts,Igiver,rep and maybe some months old in the forum.A good title for the thread will be a simple one like "Custom title thread'.I think the best way to keep the thread clean and organized will be that every post to be deleted after the Custom tile will be asigned to the respective user.Moreover this thread may be open once a month only for a few days because this way the moderator in charge won't be overloaded by requests.

Secondly I have noticed that the VIP members and up can have a much bigger avatar than the rest of the users.I understand and I agree with the fact that the users that have a big contribution to the community have some perks and bonuses but it would be lovely if the rest of the users will be able to have avatars at the same size like the VIP members.If this can't be done it would be enough to rise just a bit the size of the allowed avatar because I think the present one is simply too smal(no offense for nobody here).:001_smile:

Thirdly because there was a lot of controversy about bumping a thread I though about implementing a nice change.To avoid spam and useless posts it will be awesome to implement a "magic" button(Bump button) in the "thread tools" sections for the every thread in this forum.This option may be visible for the thread maker and for the rest of the users too.Now let me tell you how I tought this button will work:When you press this button the thread will simply go on the top of the threads of the respective topic avoiding a new useless post like:"Bump".I only see one posible problem by implementing this and thai is abussing of this option and break the most important rule about bumping:"wait 48h for a bump".But this can be solved very easy by making this button available only after 48h have passed after the last post or "the last bump":001_smile:.I think this is the best way to keep this forum clean and organized and to avoid requests with lots of pages only with "bump" posts.

Not too shabby, i like all three of your ideas. I have no idea how much work each would entale but they all have merit as far as I am concerned.

TBH, I don't think you will get any of these ideas implemented.

Dave (T-I's sysop) gave exalted custom user titles but then restricted it only to certain circumstances such as flutrose's "Intro Mistress" title as he deemed them too messy.

As for the avatars, as you said they are a bonus perk for higher class members and due to how the system works, to have an increase in size would require it to be done manually which isn't possible.

The last one while it is a good idea, it would be a great deal of work to code and the staff are busy with other things at the moment. (would have to only appear after 48 hrs to limit abuse)

Suggestion one - Custom Titles, personally I don't see the point. They get abused, look messy and you can absolutely guarantee that someone will not like what you put, even if you put restrictions there and therefore the mods would end up asking people to change them.

Suggestion Two - Yes the sizes of avatars are different because its one of the perks/privileges of being a VIP or Exalted. If you would like a larger avatar then either solve the cipher, get MOTM or donate and get VIP.

Suggestion Three - I'm sorry but I think it would be abused, people would just go around clicking the bump thread, how about when you bump your thread put an update with it or like in a case of a particular invite request that I have read how about some trivia about yourself. I'm all for making things easy but lets not get lazy. The other thing to consider is how do you control the bump, I mean do you then log who has bumped the thread, or do you make it only available for that person on that thread i.e invite requests where only you can bump your request. Sounds like a lot of coding just for the sake of typing "Bump"
