Thread: Sticky for Trackers experiencing downtime.

We have a sticky for open signups, and free leech, why not one in the same section where we can post if a tracker is having down time. That would eliminate all of the questions of "Is it down or is it something wrong with my computer" that pop up once in awhile.



It might not be the most used thread, but it would be one of the more useful ones. Lets see what you guys think.

I understand your intentions, but there are various sites which you could simply link to the people asking those questions. Down for everyone or just me? is probably the most popular.

Also, moronic people will start posting sites like GFT and SCC are down which we know always goes down with its server overloads. In addition, when sites actually goes down, admins usually have the URL redirecting you to a page with the specific details. Waffles and What does this all the time.

I also see people posting in such a thread to up their post count. I suppose this could be useful to some; but, if you can't figure out if a site is down or not yourself, I'm not sure what to think about that particular person.

I agree with el2em sometimes some trackers are experiencing down time for a short time and others for long time. and if there was a sticky then it would constantly have to be updated or people would just be posting over and over again about the same trackers. The best Thing i can recommend is that pretty much every tracker that has an IRC room shows their site status whether it is up or down or going slow. If you go to your tracker IRC you will be able to get information straight from the horses mouth instead from a bunch of third parties
