    Default I trader thought

    Hey guys.

Had a thought about the the itrader and how it can catch dupes.

When you are giving the Igiver, is it possible to give it an option to say which tracker you received, like a tickbox?

This will help catch people with dupe accounts as the itrader can then tell when someone has received 2 invites.

Obviously some people can get 2 invites i.e if they get banned but then apply for another, so my thought on this was maybe it sends a pm out to staff or someone else involved. They can then check to see if the receiver has notified the giver of if they were banned.

Sorry if my explanation is hazy.

    Just my 2 cents.

EDIT: Better yet, have the person who receives the Igiver tick the box for which tracker they gave, stops the receiver lying about it.

    Hey what's up.
we have too many trackers out there and more coming... it's hard to keep updating the site as new trackers showing up in the g/a section.New comers may be member of certain trackers already but his or her record doesn't show that evidence. Nevertheless, great suggestion i think :P

As dontdothat has already stated. There are too many new trackers opening to be able to constantly update the system. Plus with old trackers closing i just can't see it happening. Its a nice idea but i'm almost 99.99999...% sure it won't be implemented

I like your thinking but this really isn't feasible. Besides the obvious practical problems, it also poses a major security risk. iGiver history is open to anyone - members and non - who wish to take a look. However, in the case of the VIP and trusted section, only members with access can click the link that will show them which tracker was given. More often than not, I ask people NOT to mention which site I invited them to because of the inherent security concerns.

Lol ok well obviously I understand from the practical point of view, but from the security side, surely it could be rigged so only admin could see it.

Think it was just a pipe dream though.

^^ If only admin could see it, then many of our wonderful investigators couldn't do the work they do to get rid of scammers and traders. The staff can't catch everyone, so opening up iGiver history to the site helps members to uncover the bad users. Covering it up would only hurt T-I

I do see your point. The only effective way to implement this would be with a redesign of how the site works.

    OH WELL
