Thread: Suggestions Ticket System?

So this was suggested in IRC by TankGirl, and I thought it a good idea.

Would it be possible to create some sort of Ticket system for implementing the suggestions, well, suggested in this forum?

Everyone who posts in the Suggestions forum tries to change T-I for the better. T-I'ers are quite good at taking an idea and really fleshing it out, seeing the suggestion from all different angles. Out of all the discussion, a really good idea frequently emerges. However, not all of the suggestions made here are feasible, due to the limits of time, server resources, and what the database can handle.

I know that the Staff does follow the Suggestions forum. Wouldn't it be great if the greater part of T-I could learn how the staff views the suggestions?

I propose a Suggestions sticky. Suggestions that look worthy enough to become reality could be tracked there along with appropriate links. I wouldn't expect every suggestion to make it into the sticky, just the ones that fit into these categories.

I realize this may be more work for the staff than they need, but I thought I would put the idea out there.

Edit: If at all possible, please send some thanks TankGirl's way. Her idea, my words. I think we made a good team on this one.

Would be good in my opinion, as then we could always know how seriously we are being taken, and know if the idea is liked or not etc.

It will also help with reducing suggestions being repeated. At a quick glance people can see if something has been suggested and how it was received by the members etc.

And quickly click on the link in the sticky to jump to that suggestion and add their two cents (2 pence) as well.

This is an awesome idea as i have had a few suggestions people like a couple of them but then they fade off and are never thought about again. if we had multiple staff input on these if would be great we could feel that our great staff are considering our ideas and possibly implementing them in some fashion even if not as originally proposed but in a way if we new this i think more people would have ideas and possibly very simple easy ideas. i think all of us feel just great when a mod or staff gives there input on something. at least for me it feels as though it is appreciated more than if some other members liked it. I at least think that if the staff like it then it has a true possibility of being implemented at least somewhere or somehow down the line. Honestly I think this is one of those very easy to implement suggestions that the whole community would love. now let us try and get some staff to chime in on this matter as it seems it could be very intriguing. and thanks A.M. for bringing this great topic up.

Sounds good to me. So who is going to volunteer to create and maintain that thread? I nominate AfterMidnight... ;-)

And if AM cannot i would love to volunteer. I think it would be a awesome thread to have fun with and make it an important part of T-I . We can refer to it to see what ideas are not currently able to be put into action and a reason to accompany this so there is something easier to refer to instead of the never ending list of repeat suggestions in some form or another.

I think aftermidnight just got some new duties as news poster. get on that thread already ! :P

Since it was my idea and AfterMidnights words, I'll volunteer. May need a little help to start with :)
