i think we can implement this if we wanted, most of the people that responded rep people in and the others that didn't are usually in irc

i'm going to start doing this with the above suggestions taken into account:
    1. no ratio proofs included that expose username or other sensitive info

and hopefully everybody gets in on it and remembers as staff suggested that there should be only ONE quote of the OP

if we could eventually get a +/- button that would be amazing

im not really for this. If people say that are for trading invites then why do we rep them in? I mean if they are traders, scammers, cheaters they dont belong here and should not be repped in. I really just dont see the point to this. Ive been in the intro section and i have seen some ppl do this and it just seems like a waste. I had one guy waiting to be repped in, i said your proofs need to be edited and your username is the same on here as on your trackers you need to tell a mod. He never did tell a mod and he still got repped in! Who ever repped him i guess didnt bother to read the replies. This guy could have gotten in and risked the invite tree of some inviter. Luckily the guy spammed and he appeared on the chopping block where i then posted that his username was the same on t-i and trackers. People who rep in the intro section need to be smarter.

Well possibly people get repped in by members who are reading the intro after it has been edited to change their view on trading..

i think its a good idea, it'll make it obvious who should not ever be repped in, even long after changing their original answer.

People that rep in others when there are BLATANT and OBVIOUS things wrong with the application should get infractions and bans. The entire system is kind of a joke right now, a moron can get in, get 33%, and rep in their friends, without any of them ever knowing what things they shouldn't be doing. The best bet is to nip it in the bud before it gets that far by punishing the people who rep carelessly.

Need help? PM me and I'll find you the answer.

My point is the ppl repping never take time to read the first and second replies most of the time anyways unless the intro guy has like no proofs or speedtest so replying by quoting the intro thread is pointless.

i totally agree with you but then you need mods to look over the ppl who rep people in. Why not just assign those mods to rep people in themselves or better yet start appointing new mods to the intro section. dormat, mecht and a few others practically live there so why not allow them to be like intro mods or something. create a custom class.

One problem is that average members are encouraged to go to the Introductions and rep someone if the app looks good. But the problem is that the average member doesn't know what to look for when they look at ratio proofs, overall they just don't know how to tell a good intro from a poor one. It's a case of the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.
