Default Intro Forum Permissions for 10% Usergroup

Since it is against the rules for 10% users to post in the intro section, why don't we just remove their posting permissions from the intro forum? It would eliminate the spam and still allow 'Starting' (registered-unrepped) users to post. Why give them the opportunity to breaks the rules if we can easily avoid the problem?

EDIT: For those of you that weren't aware:

ANYONE WITH LESS THAN 33% IS NOT TO POST IN THE INTRO SECTION! IF YOU DO YOU WILL FACE AN INFRACTION! MULTIPLE INFRACTIONS WILL RESULT IN A BAN!

It seems like we bring this up almost daily in IRC, so I'm sure it's been discussed before, +1 from me for sure.

I don't see what harm constructive posts by 10% people does. If they're spamming sure, but it's not like it raises post count. I realize it's against the rules (now, didn't realize it before) but when the intro section gets backed up even 10%ers know enough to tell people to get direct links from speedtest, or to censor their ratio proofs, etc. Which gives less work for 33%+ to do once they make it to the thread, they just have to read nad approve or deny the introduction.

The quality of the post should be in question, not what % the person giving it is, just my 2c.

Gets my vote as well. And while on the subject on preventing users, can anything be done about members waiting to be repped in from sending unsolicited friends requests? Thats just as annoying as 10%er's commenting in intro's.

Yup and coming onto the IRC and asking to be repped...
10% cant rep, so there's no point in them posting there in the first place imo.

I aswell agree totally! This has been debated before why 10% should not be in the intro section.

I completely agree with Jschro14 on this. Again an "us & them" thing. I was a 10% a few days ago, and I spent hours helping people with their intros before the intro form was available. Also with ratio proofs and speedtests and advising them not to bump before it was time.

I see the problem. I see 10% people telling people their intros are okay but they are clearly not. Like in this one

    http://www.torrent-invites.com/intro...asquerade.html

(he was 10% before, he even admits it). It's misleading and not helpful but hurting.

Yeah, we all make mistakes but that's why 33% and higher post, because they are more familiar with the rules and have read the stickies and understand the consequences after being a part of the community for a little but longer.

I appreciate that you agree, but before this gets out of hand i do want to point out that the purpose of this thread isn't to discuss if the rule should be changed, its to make sure the current rule (good or bad) is being properly followed. So I apologize for bringing up my previous post and suggest we stick to the topic ;)
