Thread: Ratio Proofs

Hey guys

I have a suggestion to throw out there! I've been looking at these invite threads a lot and I'm not trying to start up any trouble, but a lot of these proofs don't actually prove that they're dedicated members.

What I'm suggesting is this - whenever we ask for ratio proofs, let's do it by a screenshot of the proof AND the thread maker's name in the search bar. That way, people will be able to know that it is indeed them without a shadow of a doubt and it's not just a nice copy/paste of an impressive proof from some other thread or forum.



Too many scammers and cheaters here. It's a shame, let's weed them out.

Yeah, I agree as well, putting Torrent-invite in the search bar, will help weed out scammers etc... Its a simple but great idea, im suprised I didnt mention it myself lol.

This is a great idea! I am wondering....should this be applied to giveaways as well? I know some people require it...=)

but i think it exposes the one who invites and the one who`s invited

like the e_mail exposing

so , i think it depends on the members wishes , and sometime they do ask 4 that kind of proofs .. check some give invites threads and u`ll see :001_smile:

but it`s a good idea though

I don't think I understand what you mean by exposing. It's all detailed here in this thread here:

It's the account safety we all go through for the introduction. I'm simply asking it to be a rule to do that for giveaways also to prevent any copy/pastes.

Adding to the other suggestions, why not make it mandatory to make full-screen proofs? Because anybody can get ratio proofs from elsewhere, cut it so that only the upload/download is shown and get away with it.

Having them do this gives us the ability to spot out the bad guys. If there are multiple proofs and the browsers or the colors are different, it could possibly mean that the person stole those proofs and in the end, the accused will be banned.

Proofs mean nothing to me I want to get to know the person longer than it takes to see a screenshot and send a invite. But in the end its all about whatever makes the invitee more comfortable before risking his account.

This is a good idea. But, when I have a giveaway, I ask for screenshots first, and if the screenshots are good I ask for profile links via PM. This usually happens on most giveaways, its basically the only foolproof way. So, if the person has a ratio of 2.xx in the screenshot but a ratio of 3.45 in the profile link, I know that they are not showing me fair proofs.
