    Hey all,
I did a search and don't know if this is already posted, i couldn't find anything...

Anyway, i realize there is the "chopping block" and the "banned user list" but would it be at all possible to have some kind of notification to inviters that unknowingly invited these users?

For instance, i just invited an idiot to a site and had no idea until i saw a thread with his name in it and he was banned, so i had to search and found out he was a ratio cheater! aaaargh! The faster/sooner we know then we can take care of these people before they cause the inviters trouble. In my experience usually the sites appreciate getting notified of someone that has cheated etc. rather than finding out later and everyone gets deep in it.

Just a thought. What do you think? Possible?

I think that could be possible, though if that user was a ratio cheater he should be banned forever, because we don't need users like that in our community, which gives us a bad reputation!

Like you said there is the chopping block and blocked list so I think that's good enough.

    List for what dude?
Cheaters/Scammers no need cz as soon as the user is identified as cheater/scammer or what so ever the user is banned.
In ur case u invited a cheater thats ur fault u should have been more stringent in giving invites u should have asked for profile links with proofs and too see wether they matched or not.
Or the Ratio on the tracker is how much old etc....
The thing is that there is no automatic mechanism to detect a Cheater we have to manually detect them.
This is what The Chopping Block is for.

Hmm, thanks for the responses but i don't think you guys are getting the gist of what i'm trying to say. I always check and ask for profiles / links before handing out the invite that has nothing to do with what i was asking.

I was just wondering if there was a way for an inviter to be notified of the cheaters straight away so that the inviter could take care of them immediately on the tracker they were invited to....i get the whole chopping block thing and the list but if someone is a "known cheater" they should be banned from the site they were invited to before they can do any more damage and the sooner the better....

Anyway, i'll just keep a better eye on the banned user list i guess.

Hey can u tell me how a banned user can get access to the forum?
As far as i know banned user cant access the forum.
Once a user is marked cheater he is banned so no access to forum.
    So whats whats the need.
    Close the topic mate.
The banned user list is there to keep a log for why that particular user was banned.

Sephora let me apologize for the other replies. They obviously didn't understand your question. Sephora wants to warn the TRACKER and get them banned from the tracker. I've done it several times myself and most admins appreciate the warning. If you invite a cheater and the tracker catches them without your help, they are far more likely to ban you. Plus, I'm always curious why one of my invitees gets banned.

An automated notification system would be a nice touch. It only requires a daily script that cross references the iGiver logs with the ban list. So easy, even Synthesis could code it... lol

Another nice touch would be to add a "search" and/or "sort by member" option to the ban list. Currently, we have to manually browse thru hundreds of entries to find someone banned just a few weeks ago.

If the accused is found guilty, perhaps a site wide PM can be sent out to everyone, though I'm not too sure if this maybe bandwidth intensive. Sounds like a great idea.

Yeah maybe the banned list could be organized by date, followed by alphabetically, though im not sure that its possible.. Some sort of list for that would be helpful!

Sorry I didnt get it earlier Seph.

Great ideas! Even just the search or sort by member for the ban list would make things so much easier
