Default Change the default light gray text on dark gray background colors

Maybe my eyes just aren't as good as they used to be, but I have a lot of trouble reading around here. There needs to be more contrast between text and background. This should be a top priority for any website.

I completely agree. It would be nice to have text that's easier to read.

    The gray looks nice.
However, I think a lighter shade of gray would be more practical.

Many vBulletin sites have different colour schemes so that you can change it to one you like. Everybody can have their own colour scheme so you can keep the current one if you like. (there would be an "easy reading" colour scheme lol...) I could swear there was also this site where you can choose your own colours. But who knows... The colour schemes are for sure though, we just have to get it whether it's an add-on to the forum or it's a setting.

Yeah I agree, having a white text as the default will be more viewable and easy on the eyes. As Im writing this post its white text, but once I post it turns grey, I think the white stands out a lot better!

"Skins," called themes in bulletin board lingo are available for free for any BB software including VBulletin. Better than just a color change, consider adding a variable width theme for monitors both larger and smaller than average. Or better, a variable width theme with this little widget. It lets you adjust the font size from normal, to bigger, to biggest.

In the meantime, when reading is difficult, this may sound stupid, but try highlighting by selecting.

Or if you've got a Mac, control-command-option-8 will change the screen to "night vision" mode and T-I becomes an easy to read dark gray text on white background.

Maybe you can start a poll would be interesting to know peoples thoughts on it. Maybe the poll can also help make it happen.

good idea. it usually adds in more peoples' opinion because not everyone that sees this thread necessarily posts in it.
