Thread: country flags

I like the Idea, would be nice to see where people are from next to there names and well if you want to stay anonymous a Pirate flag like someone suggested would do.

I like that idea. It would easily let inviters know if people are banned from trackers because of their country.

Yes, I also think it would be good to have flags next to everyones names. It would be nice to know where the person ur talking to is from. Not only would it help u to get know the person a little better(besides checking their intros). it would also help in regards to the different time zones and, as already stated, banned trackers in certain countries. Maybe u guys could even figure out some way to have everyones time of day available to u in ur own timezone. That might be asking for too much. Just another suggestion.

openroads, you made some really good points... i especially thought that the point about ther contry being banned is good, because then you know not to invite that person to some particular trackers.

Well its cool and all, but that doesn't make it that easy to implement. The admins could make a group for the Top 50 countries, (lots of work) with the flags as the image for the rank. The user would have to personally join the group, though.

Or you could just write your country in Location. :P

well it may take time to implement, but it may be worth it depending on the long-time purpose it will serve. sure, people could put their country or city or w.e/ in the Location box, but hardly anyone does.. i mean, no one lives at:

-In your closet
-outside your window
-behind you
-in the dog house
-localhost
-IRC

these are some common "locations" i have seen. lol :D
