Thread: Increase Daily "Thanks" Limit

Does anyone else want to see the max number of "Thanks" you're allowed to give increase? There are so many excellent give aways & ideas, I'm constantly forced to ignore worthy posts because I've already hit the daily limit.

Keep in mind that a full rep (scale icon) can be worth 15 points vs 1 point for Thanks. Seems to me that the risk of abuse is minimal and I would love to see this limit increased or eliminated all together.

great idea! i always like to thank other helpful people, but once i thank some people for their posts the button just disappears.. the maximum should be raised.

i was not even aware that there was a limit, lol, i guess that would explain why the thanks button has disappeared on me a few times. i fell that the abuse of thanks would be minimal, i myself only thank things that should legitimatly be thanked.

maybe the limit can be removed once yourself has gotten beyond a predetermined rep amount and/or post count / time as member or something along those lines to prevent abuse on the lower end and granting more priveliiges to more experienced members.

I never needed the button that much, but I guess it wouldn't do any harm if the limit got increased to 10 for example :)

I'm glad I started the poll. I'm really shocked to see how many no votes there are. I was looking at their profiles and was surprised to see a large percentage with minimal Thanks (1 or 2 over the past 6 weeks).

I didn't realize some users do not like the Thanks system. Just wish they would explain their side. I'm really curious...

Well I don't use the Thanks button as often as I should I think like a lot of users I just forget that it's there, but I do like the system and for the users that use it I think it should be increased with limitations as supertorrz says.

I vote yes for the increase. As what others have said already, there are posts that deserve "thanks."

I actually voted no, only for the reason that i see it well not abused but overused. Nothing wrong with saying thanks but when u see two people thanking each other it can get out of hand. By the way i would have no qualms in perhaps a minor increase.
