Thread: Increase Daily "Thanks" Limit

I voted yes as well, Just becuase like mentioned above a good post or helping hand deserves a thank you.

maybe the limit can be removed once yourself has gotten beyond a predetermined rep amount and/or post count / time as member or something along those lines to prevent abuse on the lower end and granting more privileges to more experienced members.

I really like this idea as well! Maybe giving thanks should be granted to unlimited when you reach 55% or something.. It prevents spam that way..

im glad to see that others see it the way i do as well,

also i feel that the poll should have a choice that reads something like "Increase but with limitations" or something to carry the effect that the limit will increas as your own rep or whathaveyou increases.

I'm pretty surprised at the ratio of yes to no votes. I think this a great idea and more people should be on board. Chunky makes a really good point on this being progression oriented as to prevent spam and abuse.

I just don't think there are enough thanks to go around for all the helpful people here at TI.

In my opinion 5 thanks a day is enough. otherwise we would see ppl gving thanks to anyone. thanking their friends for any kind of posts which is absurd. Because the limit being 5 ppl think before giving thanks to anyone

i agree with balauru...
i never "ran out" of thanks.

i don't think it should be anything more than 7 , but five aint bad. i voted yes...

i haven't really thanked yet, cause it's my 1st day here, but i voted for yes cause i think people who put some effort to do something meritorious deserve and should be able to get an "ethical applause" which in our case is just a thanks button... seems a nice idea to me:P

i think it should be increased coz i am "too careful" using them ends up not using them at all !
