Thread: BUG: you can't thank then rep a post, but you can rep and then thank a post

Just like the title says:

It's not possible to use the 'thanks' button and then the 'scale' button to rep the same post twice. However, it is possible (I've done it like couple of times already, so I'm pretty sure it is possible) to first use the 'scale' button and then press 'thanks'. I believe there's no difference and this should be fixed ;)

yeah i have noticed this too.
from what i know thanks is meant to be the same as rep? Just the lazy way to do it.
But i have noticed that when people with high rep power "Thank" me i dont get the same points as if they were to rep me either.

Is that what "Rep Power" means in our user profile? I assumed that a Thanks or Rep was always 1 point, regardless of who did it. Do higher ranked members actually provide more points in a Rep??

Thanks button is always +1 rep, while using "scale" buton can be more according to your rep power (associated with higher rank).

But that's not what I'm talking about here ;)
