    Default Demoniod codes

Ok might have a possible account security flaw here due to demonoid codes now.

I just generated some codes to post in the demon code thread but all of the invites I generated had my username at the start of the code.

So after that I got thinking, browsed the code thread here and picked a couple of recently posted codes and then went hunting on various trackers using the name at the start of those codes. I could track those users down on a few different trackers with the same name.

While I couldn't care if I lost my account there as they are easy to get into again it does pose a possible risk to those who use the same username there on other trackers.

So would it be wise to maybe hide that thread from non registered users or something to protect themselves?

Edit : it doesn't appear to be on all invites posted recently, just some of them.

good catch man, i defintly agree with you, that thread should be hidden to registered and repped in memebers, account safety should be priority one here at t-i.

ps - bro, demonoid probably doesnt even kick people out, they are the slut of private trackers, they take and do anyone, lol.

    cheers.

Yeah thats because they have some flaw in the updating process. In demoniod when your downloading or uploading, you have to be logged in on the site and you have to stop the torrent in whatever client you use, then give it 5 sec and start it again. Doing this makes your ratio update and begin to count..

This was a good catch! Even though it's only demonoid, I guess there is a chance in being exposed if you use the same username elsewhere.
