Thread: using same usernames on ti and trackers = permanent ban

I think that no matter how hard you enforce this, there'll ALWAYS be members who use the same username everywhere.

Yeah, I think the only cases it can be acceptable are when the user is given permission by trackers to recruit people, etc.

For regular users it's definitely a poor idea and should not be allowed.

Imagine if you were banned together with your invite tree, a lot of members here will lose an account or two...lol

Good thing, you can recruit freely, and you won't be banned from your trackers for recruiting on an invite forum like here at t-i

hahaha holy crap if bumrocks' entire invite trees were to be erased, i bet like 5 trackers would cease to exist! but bum is the exception to this rule :)

Bigon will be bigons, some people are just stupid.

However, would you be able to escape the bans if someone were one link away from you in the invite tree? Just deny all involvement etc.

This is true but there will always be traders too and I dont see the zero tolerance policy on trades being lifted anytime soon.

Yea, that's also a very good point. If someone apreciates their "universal" username more than the rules of our community, do you think that they deserve to be here?

I don't agree with banning because of this ...
first, when I signed in to T-I ,,, I didn't know that I have to use different username from the trackers that I used

One of the first users here who gave me an invite to IPT told me not to use the same UN and then before I registered there I sent a private message asking why should I do that ( neven been in inviting forum ,, so i didn't knew why )
I registered there in the same name as I registered here and everything went smoothly till I invited hotlips to one of my tracker which I had ,,, and before she registered she told me that I should change my name here ( sending a PM to one of the mod ) and I did after she explained to me what's worng with having the same name ...

So, It's not the user fault if he didn't knew that you haven't register in the same name ( and yeah not alll site saying that GA invite user will be banned )


I would suggested to warn the newbie ( Like I was when I first registered ) that he should not AND EXPLAIN IT

I have the same username here as Funfile, this is due to me being a staff member and recruiter for their site, i have had permission to be here from them and i don't use this username on any other trackers so if this still is an issue let me know and i will have it changed but there is no danger for me or anyone i give invites or credits to from that site :)
