Thread: Demanding the moderators name in Ratio-Proofs

Recently i came across many users introduction's ratio proof and wondered how easy it is for anyone to cheat by posting some others ratio on imageshack etc as their own.

So i suggest that everyday a completely random word be selected and all the ratio proofs submitted on the site have that particular word.

That's a good idea but how could it be implemented most effectively?

How about a random word per day selected by admins.

I understand the problem, but the solution is not easy.

I could take someone else's ratio proof, and add the word of the day.
A little trust is necessary in these matters, even if a user is a total stranger.

Do you see how I deleted what I wanted to delete, without any kind of freehand painting with the mouse? And how I replicated and flipped the left margin of the rounded box to the right side?
Well, that took me about 5 minutes.
How long would you say it's going to take me to completely alter those digits and create a completely fabricated ratio proof?

I prefer to "stupidly" trust that the proofs I see in the forums are not tampered with in their substance or stolen from someone else, because I wouldn't do it and I'm an optimist living in hope.


Although your idea is excellent in itself, it sadly cannot be effectively implemented.

i suggest to include "Torrent-Invites" word in search bar,so no need of making proofs everyday to prove that screens are mine.

This seems like a pretty good idea, obviously it won't stop somebody who is really determined to forge a fake ratio, but it's a step in the right direction.

how about adding your own username for this site in the search or address bar

Its too easy to fake images really. Its kind of a trust thing.

If anything, you should have to get 5 iGiver before you can receive an invite or something like that. That would ensure they are giving back to the community rather than just photoshopping proofs.

Guys we have been doing this from the start not everyone does it but I require it for all of my giveaways for the person to put my name in the search or address bar.

It's only if the person wants to do it or not.
