Default Integrate iGiver system into Rep

iGivers don't really mean anything to me, but gaining Rep does and it seems almost impossible. It may increase the number of invites posted if for every iGiver you could also gain +1 Rep. I have seen a lot of members with no iGivers, which to me says that they are just takers (receivers), are they really contributing to the site?

Bad idea, it would be like a variation of asking for rep in exchange of invites. igivers sole purpose should be to track what invites users have gotten. While igivers to a certain degree show how well a member has contributed they do not represent good members. May I remind you that many jr mods and above have less than 50 igivers? Theres definitely many other ways to be a good member and not have to give out invites.

Personally I do not agree with this

I feel that rep and iGivers should be kept seperate.

First off, your rep count symbolizes the value and how much work you've put into this site. Personally, I know people with 0 iGivers but with a thousand reps, this is because the person has an ability to help people out and to provide their assistance. That being said not every single person can be able to able to give away invites. For members to be successful they have to contribute what they can contribute. If you have dozens of trackers, you contribute invites, you got computer/linux knowledge you help with troubleshooting, you got a way of entertaining people and making their day? then make some jokes and crack some people up. Everyone is in their own predicament, you cannot expect every single person to provide the same things as others.

Personally, when I see someone with 1 iGiver vs. someone with lets say 55 iGivers I am not one to judge which one is the leech on this site. It may well be possible that the one with 1 iGiver has only membership on 1 tracker but tries everyday to help others in the help section versus a person with 55 iGivers who is a ratio-whore and sits in the giveaway section the whole time and begs for invites. The important part of this community is contributing whatever you CAN, no matter how much or how little you can contribute.

I am not one to go to the 10% giveaways and start handing out rep to all of the people there handing out invites, I feel that they are already getting rewarded in iGivers and such. For rep purposes, I only rep people who make good suggestions and make detailed and useful posts in the help and bittorrent discussions forums. It really bothers me how some people can sit in the 10% forums all day without venturing out and making some useful posts. In these forums we need both invites and people to keep the community alive hence this is why i feel iGivers and rep should be kept seperate and should NEVER EVER be integrated together as one.

I will have to say No to this. Igivers and Rep serve two different purposes on the forum and should never be merged.

the sole purpose of our igiver system is to serve as a record of all transactions that occur on our forum so that we have a sort of accountability system that we can check in the events of members trying to dupe accounts on trackers. well as the rep system is for promotions into different ranking groups and whatnots and effect the user only.

In other words the only one who is determine to chase rep is the particular user only. I am of the opinion that to earn rep you must be active on the forum and not just give out invites there is plenty more to TI than invite giving maybe if you investigate the whole forum you will notice and find your way to earn the rep you so desire

Just because someone has no igivers doesnt automatically mean that they are takers, it also doesnt mean that they are not contributing to the site. We do not force people to give invites, the same as we don't force people to give rep. You want rep, you earn it! There are plenty of ways to do that without having to give out invites, you only need but search the forum and you will find several threads that detail various ways.

So with regards to your suggestion, its 100% no from me.
