I use different emails for ALL my trackers - its good practice since it means IF one of my email addresses happens to be compromised the rest of my tracker accounts are safe, plus we don't allow emails to be posted on the forum and a form is unable to send that info separately to a different destination.
There is no way for a form to check if a person has applied for that tracker before.
There is no way for a form to check if someone has used someone elses proof.
There is no way for a form to check other threads, so it cant prevent you applying in another GA.



There is no facility available on the forum to allow what you are asking for Hearts, in fact I don't think there is one available full stop. If we were even to consider going down the template route it would be a set reply template that everyone would have to use, there would be no facility to edit/personalise it for specific requirements. I know for a fact that permission would NOT be given for everyone to set their own template via the forms mod as it would mean we would have - 130,182 different forms (1 per member).

Add to all that, the fact that you need a way in which to force people to use your template (links will not suffice as people wont use them), the only way to do that is to code the reply button to the specific template set by yourselves which is impossible as you would need to create a new button for each thread created and then code said button to your individual reply templates, meaning you would need root access to the database and that is never going to happen.

The suggestion in its basic form is good, but the reality of it all and what you are asking for can not be done.

Databases, SQL driven queries, geeeeeez - sorry but this has gotten far to complicated just to apply for an invite. I could get the whole idea of using a template to standardise things but the way this is going its turning into a Spanish inquisition and far too complicated just for the sake of posting a reply in a set format.

Having a system that records the information that you have suggested is all well and good but, it would be pointless. For example, if I were to steal someone's proof and use it as my own, I could and no automated system is going to detect that. If I was going to dupe on a tracker invite, I could do that as well - very easily in fact. As for email checking, pointless exercise - not everyone uses the same email address each time. Applying for a tracker before you were previously a member of - we allow that under certain circ's. Applying in multi threads at the same time - we allow that too and there is no restriction as to how many threads you can apply in or a time limit imposed for delays.

But the biggest flaw that kind of system would have is.... automation breeds complacency and with complacency comes severe consequences. Meaning people would rely far too much on the automated checking and they would end up in a damn site more trouble than what the system and its upkeep is worth.
