Default Automatically PM members who received an iGiver from someone who got banned in T-I

    Mates,

The idea is to automatically send a PM to all the member that received an iGiver from someone who got banned from T-I because of mean behavior (for example: duped accounts, ratiocheated, trade/selled accounts/invites) so the persons who gave this guy a invite will be aware of any possibility of punishment on the trackers.

    Agree?

    Cheers!

    TBH i like the idea
i will even go further and say of notifying all the members who have received + left iGiver to the member

    poblems that will arise
1 - i guess it would require lot of coding work
2 - if a old member with lot of iGivers get banned ,it will send mass pm's that will lead to lots of people getting panicked
all of these people will start asking what to do
if all these people go asking to tracker staff ,it will attract unavoidable attention thus backtracking to T-I and creating more problems

considering the cost-benefit ratio , i will say this is not gonna get implemented

I really do not see the purpose of this if members are interested on knowing who got banned they can review our ban list as well as review their invitee's profile if interested to know if they are still amongst us on the forum. Just feel it is too much work for Staff in making this possible people get banned everyday

It's always good to be informed if someone who invited you or you invited got banned but I don't see the purpose of doing this, you can't change your inviter and you can't change who you invited already.

But it's going be easier to justify, for example, here, if your entire invite tree gets banned due a rotten apple...

---------- Post added at 01:35 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:28 PM ----------

Notice that it's only going to happen to whom gave INVITES, and extreme cases (ratiocheat, sell invites). I don't think it's going to be the flood every one is thinking...

I like the idea, but how is this going to benefit the inviter (more specific on justification?)

Seems like it could be a good idea but assuming this would have to be all done manually I see what shadowbuild is saying. The TI staff has a lot of deal with already but maybe down the road something could be coded into the igiver script that automated this process. it's an interesting idea and shows that your heart is the right place but sadly I don't think we'll see this in the near future.

    See the example:

Person "A" invites a person "B" and "C" fot SCC. Person "B" invites person "D". Person "B" gets banned due ratiocheat, making person "D" be also banned. Person "D" reports it to chopping block without the knowing of Person "A".

After these events the SCC moderators decided that for inviting person "B", person "A" and his whole invite tree deservs to get banned too.

If person "A" was pm'ed of the banning on T-I with the reasons, it's going to be much easier to clarify the whole situation to everyone who is envolved.

This would be so helpful though. Would love this change.

Sounds like a good idea. If one of my invitees got banned, it would be nice to know - so I can review my process/background checks when I give away invites. Of course, I would only want this implemented if it doesn't require too much of the staff at TI. If this is something that cannot be automated, or takes up too much time of the staff, I'm not sure if it would be worth it.
