Thread: 55% misc and bonus subforums

I was recently giving away an invite on the 55% sub forum. I later found out the thread was moved to the misc sub forums, the 55% tags were left but now everyone was able to see my thread, including guests and newbies.

The reason I posted the thread on the 55% sub forum is that it won't be indexed by google and be visible to the whole world, it feels more secure.
Also, to keep it exclusive for more trusted members and to protect the site, my account and the recipiant's.

My suggestion: I doubt it's possible to make the 55% tags hide the thread so I suggest to add a misc and bonus 55% sub forums that will be as exclusive as the 55% tracker GA sub forum.

I think it will just cluster up the forum and make it even more complicated than it already is.
Then we would also need a 33% Misc and 33% Bonus section.

On the other hand I know how you feel the misc section is most likely indexed by Google to attract more users and possible revenue.

If you want to make sure that your thread doesn't get moved you should first talk to a high ranking mod and after the person agrees to, leave a note in your thread.

If you need help feel free to PM me, but keep in mind that asking for an invite is not considered help.

I'm not sure I understand your suggestion completely, but I get the idea.

    Hmm, we could do this:
Inside the misc GA forum, make the 10%, 33% and 55% section, instead of using the prefixes. Just like we have in the Free Invites forum.
If that is what you are suggesting, I like it.

As for the bonus GA, I really don't see the need to have different sections...

Special thanks to drauka, pulser and Trevor for being so awesome.

No need for a 33%, it's hardly exclusive, it can be named secret/exclusive/hidden/private section instead of 55%, just one is enough.

Thanks for suggestion, I might do that next time, but I think the higher staff wouldn't want to bothered by all the requests (that is if there will be many requests).

Let me make it more clear, I'm suggesting a hidden and exclusive section for the bonus and misc subforums, similar to the 55% subforum.

    Hope it's clear now.

As I understand it, the invite you were offering wasn't to a tracker and as such it is not deemed to be as much of a security risk to yourself or your invitee's. If there were risks attached to the GA then it would have be advantageous to inform a member of staff prior to posting it. Those sections are indeed left open to draw people into the site and to show our diversity, they are also relatively new.

As for adding extra sub forums in each of those sections, in my opinion it would make those particular sections too cluttered - there should be nothing posted in those sections that can get you banned or indeed into any trouble, those sections are purely for NON tracker invites and NON tracker bonuses.

I guess you're right TG, but I still hate to advertise this site's invites through google, they recently closed their registration for a reason.
I also hate receiving pms from non repped newbies that don't even read my post or know the rules.

Just a quick side note to you and everyone who reads this: Every time a 0% (or anyone else) asks you for invites by PM instead of posting in your giveaways, simply click the report button at the end of the PM and feel free to delete that PM. You don't even have to reply to it. After you report it someone from staff will send a PM to that user about it.

It is definitely weird that the only forums that aren't indexed by Google are 33% and 55% invites. It attracts people to the site but it reduces the security of the users.

Hence why we tell you to be careful and to take extra precautions when posting GA's. If everything is edited properly by the applicants and you keep checking your GA's then there should be no issues.
