Default Disable Notifications for your own posts in subscribed threads

    Hello all,
I find the notification to be a little annoying. Everytime I post in my own thread, or even start a thread, I get a notification. I am not sure how to disable that, other than unsubscribing to the thread alltogether.

At other times, there hasn't even been new posts and I still get notifications.

    Can these issues be corrected?

    Thank you
Trevor, Kitkatra, Kvothe and 1 others like this.

Unfortunately, sometimes you just don't want to unsubscribe from that thread. For example, if you just bumped your own giveaway.

I'm all for this suggestion. It's true it has been suggested before, but let's see if things have changes since then :)
Special thanks to drauka, pulser and Trevor for being amazing =]

Your best bet would be to disable the subscriptions entirely. Settings > General Settings > Messaging & Notification > Default Thread Subscription Mode > Do not subscribe. Then if you need to, manually select the threads you want to subscribe to.

That doesn't help. I have those settings, still I get the same annoying notifications for each bump in my own giveaways. So if I bump them all, I get like 5 pop-up notifications at once haha

It would be nice if something could be done about it. If not, it's not a big deal either - there are worse things than that, like cold coffee or milk in your tea yuck lol ;)

Oh I see. Well goes to show how I rarely contribute any topics to the community to notice that. Hah.

It's funny because I have been looking for that button for a while now. I was thinking it was me being a newbie here now I know it's because it doesn't exist. I think it's a great suggestion.

This is a bit annoying. Sometimes when I clear all my notifications, they pop right back up again. Strange but minor.

I also agree, as i see no need to know htat I have just posted to my own thread. I know I did this, I don't need the system to tell me.
