I have been thinking about this for a while and it seems that we need a central thread that contains all the things that some users find useful when deciding who to give an invite to.

A central team of users to update it and check it seems like a very good idea as well. I for one, TranceX, and anyone who has a serious interest in this. See the official traders thread and imagine a few more additions.

What I propose is a small part of the forum with a team of users who have some very limited mod powers so they can all edit the same giant list. Even some method where the updated list can be posted by multiple members will be better.

In this list would be these types of user: those who trade, those who formerly trade and those who no longer trade; those who are liars, ratio proof cheaters or foolish with accounts; those who do not iTrade when they get an invite; those who are collectors; those who are greedy bastards and any other suggestions are welcome.

As I was the sole judge and arbiter in the last thread, and never liked it, I propose that this responsibility be shared. Any member who feels that a decision to include or exclude something will be able to "appeal" to all members qualified to edit the thread for a ruling which will be final.

At all times this process will be evidence based and will require links. Any editing of posts, especially relating to trading, will be viewed in a bad light and it appears that you are trying to hide something. If the proof is potentially compromising to a members account (like PM's, ratio proofs, screenshots, emails etc) then it should be sent to and confirmed by a mod.

For traders I propose these rules.
    - anyone who posts a thread, makes anything that looks like an offer, PM's someone with any sort of trade offer, or does anything that looks like a trade is classified as a trader with NO exceptions.

-traders become former trader on request three months after their last trade. They have to ask for it to reduce workload as it is easier to do this each time than to monitor it for all users.

    - Traders are removed from the public list six months after their last trade again on request. Anyone with very strong anti-trader feelings can PM for the full unedited list with everyone who has ever traded which will be kept by multiple users. (probably uploaded on RS with a password?)

    - traders cannot be anti-traders for one year after their last trade. Any current anti-trader who has traded must remove it or be warned/banned and have it noted forever in the list.

One thing I always felt a little guilty about was scouring the intro threads and adding anyone who stated that they were 'here to trade' to the list. I think this needs discussion.

Discussion needed for all other classes to be included in the new list and if any other infringements should be removed from the list and after what time period. For example, what punishment does posting fake ratio proofs get you? Should it ever be removed?

One note: I proposed this list to put all the things in one giant list for easy reference but others might prefer to split everything into separate lists.

i think this would make alot of commotion about useless stuff.. we already have an anti trade topic in the trade section and i think thats enough.. if u forget an itrade because ur so hyped about ur new tracker? or being greedy ??? because someone gives ur dream tracker or mutiple dreamtrackers.. i think that trade list in the chopping block is more then enough we dont need more then that.. thats my opinion

Basically, if someone is a cheat, scammer, or does not give itrade, they belong in the chopping block and will get banned.

I suppose that a refined trader's list could do some good to include those that once traded but don't anymore, but looking at the poll on the main page, it appears the trading invites section of this forum is on its death bed atm anyway.

I should have made it clearer. This is happening in some form, its not a 'should we have it?' debate (although feel free to open your own topic if you want), it is more along the lines of 'how should the traders list evolve to make it fairer to everyone it may have an impact on, should it be expanded, how can this reduce disagreements and workload, and to be more inclusive of those, like TranceX, who deserve or want to be involved'.

Why I think it has to happen.

This will address the grievances of people who think that they deserve a second chance because they were n00bs when they made trade topics or they actually are former traders.

To reduce the workload, and reduce moans and complaints. I cant be arsed dealing with every fool who makes a trade topic or trades and then a few days later wants to be a member of the anti-traders with all their trades conveniently forgotten. When you call bullshit on them they start trying to weasel out of it and always fail but still whine which. It is much easier to deal with people when there is a codifed set of rules and procedures.

To include and make open to scrutiny the unofficial "scum list" that is circulating among some members which contains people who are less than pristine in their attitudes and actions. Wonder why you never got that invite or request filled? Are you on this list but dont know about it? It might be something that is easy to fix that stops you from getting it. I think this will have to be done from scratch but it will be open and fair now and you will be able to correct any errors.

You use the words propose a few times and you put this in the suggestions forum. How is this not asking if we should have it. I understand you are not asking if we should have a trader's list or not, but clearly you are asking whether or not we should expand it. My post was an answer to that question.

This is what you were referring to? This is a moot point as this is the current situation. The arguments are more along the lines of when should people be removed from the list? Some think never, some think the minute after their last trade. The three and six months are an attempt to reach a workable compromise that people can agree to. Are you saying that we should do this, keep them on the list forever or something else?

As far as propose, this is again an attempt to get something workable that can be agreed to. The rules as they stand are still fluid, and this is what is causing the problems. I think people need to see this as a fair and open solution.

These are my thoughts but I am more than happy to let someone else take responsibility for any changes, or not.

Bad users list, so, this include u? With posts like this GAs Request List, defaming people I think that's a behavior of a bad user.

Its only defamation if its not true.

Have a look at this thread: http://www.torrent-invites.com/chopp...ders-list.html Read the parts where if you make an offer to trade you are a trader. You made an offer to trade therefore you are a trader. I am doing nothing wrong, and I am informing users that care about who gets their invites that you are a trader.

As for doing things wrong, if the bad users list does get into action you will be the first name on it for pretending you are a non-trader in your own thread to help you get invites. I hate liars.

ps I added you to the main traders list.

edit: started working on the traders list.

Ok I should have clarified and been more clear as well originally. The current trader list as I understand it is that once you are on the list, you are on it forever. That should be changed imo. There are people on that list that are great members of the community and have not even attempted a trade since the first couple months of the account. They should not be linked with the same users who attempt to trade every invite they get. That is what I was saying in the post you quoted me on.

(Just to be sure, this is not to gain anything for myself but just to help out good members here. I'm not and never have been on the trader's list.)
