Thread: a new welcome system ?

A new welcome system or atleast a pass requirments or something.. i see alot of people getting repped.. where i think they are just going to leech some invites and leave the sites as soon as they have their invite's.. or some noobs who dont even know what torrenting is or something.. sure those noobs need to learn to but maybe ask to comeback later or first let them to somekind of learning IDONTKNOW but its just annoying how many hit and runs come in here and how many people come in here that are just a big scam or something..

i think something needs to happen about this.

Isn't the ratio proofs enough? But what else could T-i possibly implement?

Maybe they have to be a member here for at least 2 weeks and have 30posts to be able to request invites maybe? Give and trade no requirement

I think we should have an interview process like what.cd
1) It would generate more people in the IRC channel
2) It would prevent idiots/n00bs from getting in
3) We could provide some information for them to study then ask them questions on it
4) We could give some benefits or something to those people willing to do the interviews :)
--EDIT-- It would also weed out those people who are plannin on just leavin after a few invites because if you can be bothered to do the interview it shows that you want to be here :)

EXACLY thanks dysturb that was what i was looking for. the only problem is.. we need people to have time and the effort to interview people..

:P welcome mate, you can make the new Suggestion thread and copy my ideas and expand on them if you like :)

maybe IRC interviews might work... and then we could require 4 links to profiles on private trackers, and ensure that they all belong to the same ip.

Apart from the fact that 50% of the users coming here aren't members of any private trackers yet and if they are it's demonoid and demonoid only.

The only thing in the near future is all old threads will be deleted in the intro section. The only threads there will be active intros. What we could do is have a few members only be able to rep in at the intro section. They can ask questions as well as make sure a member will be dedicated here. The irc would make it a longer interview but it could be an option. We have alot of work on the board before we change in the introduction process. Keep coming up with good ideas, you never know, we could use them.

we cant do the irc interview cuz that mean we go private and DAVE(sysop/owner) dont want it hapeen
