Default Discuss about our GiveAway rules

    Hi,

To make sure to give an invite to a good person, I think T-I should have a rule like "After receiving an invite of a tracker, a receiver must use and remain the ratio of new user according to the tracker's rules. If not, he/she will be banned from T-I."

Why do I ask it? Because I see after receiving an invite, some users always download and forget to seed. As a result, their ratios of new tracker are very low, even so, lower than 0. Maybe, they don't care about this tracker's rules, they will be banned from this. But they may ask an other invite request in T-I and so on....

Do you think about the situation?

first of all this rule sounds a little too harsh , not everyone here has a seedbox and i am sure there are people here who's home connection speeds are not too good aswell so this might be unfair for them .. secondly well putting that rule in the list of rules will be easy but enforcing it will be difficult .. if the user gets banned on tracker there is a option for the inviter to leave an negative iGiver on his invitee's page mentioning on which tracker the user got banned and why .. like

AwesomeHD - got banned because of bad ratio
    What.CD - inactive 0 kb down 0 kb up after 3 months

and so on .. most people when giving invites , look at the member's igiver history and will clearly see that the user was a bad invitee and then judge for themselves whether they want to invite the person or not .. or ask them why they were inactive and so on :)

As an inviter you are free to put specific requirements around ul/dl/ratio as a condition of the invite, and then give a negative iGiver if those conditions are not met, just make sure you are very clear about what is required.

You could for example state in your GA that you will give a negative iGiver if the invitee is banned for poor ratio, or inactivity in the first 6 months.

also that tracker may be hard to seed then other trackers.

IPT is much easy to main a ratio then BTM.

BTM I may get ban but IPT i can main a very good ratio.

So it also depends on the tracker

Much of what I wanted to say has already been mentioned. An extreme rule as suggested will unlikely be implemented. Remember, members are already expected to keep a decent ratio and avoid from getting their accounts banned for any reason. Members are also expected to do their research before applying for a tracker. You are perfectly within your right to give the user a negative iGiver and/or negative rep for betraying your trust which will ultimately effect their reputation here. Just be sure you make a sound judgement before you start throwing -rep/-iGivers left, right, and center. Adding pre-requisites and conditions to your give-aways are probably the best counter-measures against bad invitees.
