Thread: Bump button

Sounds like a good idea.. allow the icon to become active after 24 hours and allowing bumping of certain forums.
I dont think we will see it as implementation might be a problem. but it is an intresting idea.

For me it looks great idea tbh... and I thinks that vbulletin also having this Modification... I think I have even seen this plugin!

I agree. Impractical or not-- make it practical!

I suspect that a bump button would do would the same thing as what you do when you type bump, as in it posts the word "bump", therefore you would not be eliminating spam as you call it, you would simply be making it a lazy mans option since you would just click a button instead of typing the word.

I also suspect that people would click the bump button and when their thread had been kicked off the top spot as it were, they would type the word bump into the thread, so effectively they would be bumping twice in a 24hr period. Now whilst you could say "well you put a rule in place to stop people" by doing that you actually create more work for the staff you only have to look at the "likes" to see this happening in most threads.
