Thread: Shout-Box bug regarding PMs

Hi,

only a small thing, but I thought that it would be worth to mention anyway:


When I receive a PM, it shows a message in the shoutbox saying "Regex22: You got a message from [Insert Name]!"

This is totally fine and a nice feature.

But what is not in my eyes, is that if I send a PM, it shows in the shoutbox (for me): "[Insert Name]: You got a message from Regex22!"

Please correct me if I'm wrong - but this can't be a feature, can it? It's kinda weird ... I mean, I know that I sent that PM - cause I sent it :D No need to notify me about that?

Nothing to panic about - other people can not see the pm message saying that you have received or have sent a pm to a person. The notification is only visible to the person who is doing the sending/receiving.

Naa, I know that, and I know that it's nothing to panic about. That's why I wrote "only a small bug" in my first post. Anyway - don't you find it strange that when I send a PM to you, I get a notice on my wall saying "TankGirl: You just received a message from Regex22"? I mean, that shouldn't show up on my box but only on yours, don't you think so? Anyway, if it doesn't bother you as it bothers me, leave it :P

Its just acting as a notification, it doesnt really bother me, infact I find it to be quite useful at least I know that that the pm did get sent and it went to the right person :)
