    Default iGiver worth

I love the iGiver concept, but don't you guys agree that an iGiver point from WHAT.CD does not equal an iGiver point from Demonoid?

Maybe the iGiver points counting system need to reflect on the the quality of the invite, while invites should be given generously, some invites are more abundant while others are more precious and harder to come by (therefore, often have greater requirements), so I find it disapointing that they both compensate the generous giver with the same amount of points.

    What do you guys think?

iGivers are only for tracking purposes.
It's to ensure that nobody creates dupe accounts or already got banned from a certain tracker. It's very important for security prupose.
You also get an igiver for handing out bonus points.

Rep points are handed out for making an extra ordinary post and you will more likely get a few rep points for a high level giveaway than one for Demonoid.

(What.cd invites are not allowed to be requested/handed except in the VIP section)

If you need help feel free to PM me, but keep in mind that asking for an invite is not considered help.

Wow that's some interesting information ! Actually that makes lots of sense.

Wah I didn't know about WHAT.CD... I will try to find the thread that explains why.

Thanks for taking the time Magister..

The purpose of an igiver app is to keep record of given and received invites. Quality is being reflected differently. We use the Rep button for that. You cannot progress as a user if no one gives you reputation. To learn more about the reputation (or rep(we often refer to it as rep)), please read the FAQ. Torrent-Invites FAQ

then we'd have to decide how many iGivers each invite is worth thus creating, willingly or not, tracker levels. and we all know what happens then

by the way, it's been suggested a couple of times before, here's one of them.

It's an agreement we have with the tracker. Also other no movement trackers are

    • What.cd requests and giveways are ONLY allowed in the VIP forum.

    • PTP bonuses cannot be requested nor given away.
BTN 'was' another one, but currently there's a bit of drama about it right now.

    Edit----------

About iGiver. A big iGiver count is not something to strive for. It's simply a number that reflects how much you have given away. My iGiver is 4, so what? It doesn't mean I'm hoarding my invites. A person with a higher iGiver count is just a person who has a lot to give and does. An invite to FTN in terms of iGiver has the same value as an invite to IPT.
