Thread: automatically close old giveaways

Why not just have it to where you contact a mod and have them close the thread as this is one of the things they are suppose to do. Everyone is allowed to close their own threads. Actually, you can find how to do it in the Torrent-Invites FAQ.

I have to say no to this suggestion. At least with 2 weeks. If this were implemented I'd say the waiting time should be something around 1 or 2 months. Why? Because I know there are users that do not bump their giveaways, they just have links for them in their signatures or simply let people use the search function and find them. No rule against that. So closing giveaways automatically in just 14 days would really be a bad choice. Anyway, what if someone applies after a month? Most invites don't have an expiration date, and some users don't feel like bumping.


A similar (but flawless) suggestion would be "automatically close banned user's giveaways" since they are the ones who can't just get in and close them themselves

Anyway, this is just my opinion
