Thread: Gender Options

I was going through my profile settings and for some weird reason i don't see an option for one to choose whether they are male or female :):) ?? It wud be nice to have this option :)

Good suggestion, but here anonymity is paramount. Honestly, on some of my trackers I'm a female. HA!

I don't really like this suggestion, because the people that want to write it down can leave a note in the biography category, in their profile.
If you would force people to choose between those genders I think a lot of people would press the opposite one. Maybe because of privacy reason, maybe just because they don't like stuff like that.

I think this doesn't need a change, but it's not my job to decide that.

Not sure if there is any real need for this. People can make their gender known if they wish to, but should have the option not to.

Would be ok with it as long as it was optional and people could leave it blank, or maybe you could have 3 options - Male, Female, Not Sure :)

I see no reason not to have this option, although we are all hermaphrodites

But in all seriousness every tracker has the option to choose male or female or you can leave it blank if you want. Actually I know THC allows you to check male, female, or hermaphrodite (most likely other trackers do this as well). It's not going to matter if you are male or female if the law comes knocking on your door so why should we be concerned over ones gender here if they wish to let others know via an option like this?

I wouldn't say we should have the ♂ and ♀ added by our names or anything though just a option to check in our profile settings.

I beg to differ, whether it's a facebook like place or not this is a social network, just not one that is highly publicized like facebook and as for dating site well you'll have to talk to JJ and signus about that one

Regardless there is no harm in having this option as long as those of us who are hermaphrodites are able too remain so

Seeing as I don't have a facebook or myspace, etc., this is my social network. Sad, ya think? This is one of the first places I visit when I sit down at my computer. When I miss a day and don't have time to catch up I get really excited when I do. So in essence, T-I is my own equivalent of facebook. I just need more friends. Will someone please be my friend?

Its ok p2p i dont have a facebook either. But this is an absolutely useless suggestion. Like it was said before being an anon here is king, some trackers if they knew you were a member would ban your acct and tree. Also, there are males out there that like to play females. I know one of these people irl and they have gotten all sorts of stuff from gullible horny kids, it is quite funny and pathetic at the same time. I like the hermaphrodite option though, its always good for a laugh and i would probably select it. But having one option is also useless, so I think they should just make everyone a hermaphrodite and be done with it.
