Default got notify/pop-up generated when your inbox is full

    Hello T-I,

I faced this problem 4 to 6 time that members are not able to send me PM because my Inbox is full and i really don't know about that its full OR empty. I know, most of the members face the same problem that I've faced.

My suggestion is that, whenever Inbox is full OR 90% full, the pop-up will generate and/or the person got notify about it. OR any other way of notifying the person about that.

    Thanks

I was thinking of expanding your inbox limits until I looked and found that you're already allowed 500 messages. That's quite a lot. Simply delete or export your PMs every so often and you won't have any problem.

Is anybody else having a significant problem with this?

Well JJ i understand what he wants to say over here .. he is trying to say that the user who's inbox is filled up like 90% gets notified that your inbox is 90% filled up please delete some messages ..

Awhile ago i hit my 1k PM limit haha .. and i didn't even knew that i have hit it for days ... then someone on irc told me that my inbox is full .. which made me delete them ..

    so a notification wouldn't hurt..

i think on vb3 the user was notified by default as i remember seeing 99% Message Box Full or something like that before the upgrade to v3 ..

I Am up for the idea over here

    You mean ...

... that when receiving or sending private messages, the counters that are already in place do not ring a bell? It's that special time of the year again, time to include e-mail and forum message boxes into the house cleaning routine ...

Whenever you check your inbox if you scroll all the way to the bottom there is a bar that tells you where you are at in regards to how full you inbox is. Now 500 messages is alot of messages and if your inbox is full then maybe it is time to do a little spring cleaning. All it takes is just a little scroll to the bottom of the page. Personally I concider pop-ups a little annoying so I would rather not have another pop up, But I regularly go through my messages so I dont have that problem.

Emmanuel please refrain from any further bumps on this thread as it is not necessary to bump suggestion also I tend to agree with JJ regarding the fact that 500 PM should be sufficient and if you are having a problem just start making it a habit of going thru your PM inbox weekly to delete items. This being said if the problem is in sending PMs you can always contact staff to advise the other member his inbox is full either way I would have to say no to this idea
