Thread: Notify when quoted

Heya, so I was on SceneHD, and in my member profile I saw an option to be notfied when you are quoted by someone else in a post. Any chance this can be an option implemented here?

It might be an interesting option to have, though usually I just have everything auto-subscribe that I post to to keep track of any follow-ups. Still, if you're posting a lot it would help to narrow down most important stuff to reply to.

I saw this in TheStudentRoom and it'll be definitely a good update if possible

Personally, I think it's a great idea. This way we won't need to navigate on all our posting history to see who answered to us, so in my opinion this could help TI members be more active and sociable.

since we "have" better servers now, we could try out the mod but i'm still in between because i know a lot of people aren't using the [quote] tags. for saving space (or whatever) people have used the "@" sign in front of the person they want to reply to, in which case i'm pretty sure the mod will not notify you

I am in favour of this too...I got a warning from a mod for one of my posts (too sarcastic) that was delivered in the thread itself using quotes. Had I not returned to the thread, I would never have gotten the warning.
