    Default UFC 121 (VOTE)

Well i know im jumping past ufc 120 but we can talk about that aswell.

im just excited about ufc121 and i wanna see what you guys think.

i hope Brock Lesnar smashes cain valasquez.i cant ***d his whole Brown Pride dont have a problem with mexicans but shit if i had white pride on my chest here in az id prolly get shot.so i hope the white boy whoops his as*

but the way cain KOd big nog im kinda affraid but lesnar is a beast.

and its Jake Sheilds ufc debut aginst Martin Kampman.well im not with all the sheilds hype so im pullin for Kampman.im huge fan of Hendo Henderson(dan henderson) the way he dropped sheilds in the firs round and sheilds got up and held the mount on henderson for 4 rounds very impressive.

and tito ortiz i cant stand this dude i hope Matt Hamill beats him thats all i have to say bout that one

Diego Sanchez is cool but his last fight aginst the ufc rookie jon hataway was sad sanchez got dominated. so i hope he does a impressive victory over Paulo Thiago. paulo is a stud tho this one i see may be fight f the night.

also Brendan schaub is fighting Gabriel Gonzaga i hink gonzaga will ko schaub.

sooo what do you guys think i hope theres some other MMA fans out there.

Voted Lesnar, but I like both fighters.

We could do a bigger pole for the whole 120 main card (5 fights) and see who guesses the most ;)

Maybe even with some prizes? :P

dude thats a good idea. i wanted to do that and put all 5 fights in the poll but if i did cant we only choose one?

let me see wat i can give out as a prize im thinking maybe a couple ipt invites?

    well i want
brock lesnar wins by TKO in the 3rd
sheilds win by KO in the 2nd
diego sanchez decision over paulo thiago
    matt hamil decision over ortiz
and gab gonzaga KO of shaub in he first

i want martin kampman to beat sheilds but i know the smart thing is to go for sheilds, the dude is bad.

i think sanchez and thiago will be fight of the night

I find it quite strange, a lot of people over at Sherdog are picking Cain Velasquez to win this one, based on better technical wrestling and better striking. While I don't doubt that Cain Velasquez has better striking that Lesnar, his only notable victory in my eyes is against Big Nog, and unfortunately Big Nog isnt the durable beast that he used to be. I expect Cain to have the advantage on the feet, but he is not Shane Carwin, and I dont think he has the power to truly trouble Lesnar.

When it comes down wrestling, Cain is a great wrestler, he has good skill, good control, however he is going to be giving up around 40lbs to Lesnar, who doesnt have the same technical wrestling, but definately edges things due to his raw power.

Also, Cain has a pretty questionable gas tank, he found himself in trouble against Kongo in the 3rd. I think the first two rounds will be pretty even, before Cain starts to tire having to constantly battle against a bigger stronger man, with Lesnar starting to bring the pain from the 3rd, leading a stoppage in the late 4th early 5th round.

It's because most people feel that Brock was "exposed" against Carwin. His striking defense is very well, and he had to go into "survival mode" against Carwin. People like to judge based on previous fights (see Lyoto Machida's evolution from a borefest into an exciting counter striker), and since Brock is coming on lackluster while Cain is coming on looking the best he ever has, most people tend to think Cain's technical prowess will win over Brock's brute strength.

Cain also trains at AKA, which has some very good fighters. Brock has his own hole in the wall gym, and has to import coaches and training partners from elsewhere like Pat Barry.
