Thread: NHL/KHL fans?

The general consensus I've gotten has lead me to believe the majority of people here are soccer/futbol fans.

Anybody here excited for the upcoming NHL or KHL seasons (depending where you live I assume)?


I've been a Buffalo Sabres fan for almost 13 years now.


What's your favorite team?

yes I love hockey and a huge NY Rangers fan, I will never forget our last stanley cup will probably be the last one I ever see. LOL

Yeah, good ol' Mike Richter haha... I feel the same way about the Sabres except its been 40 years and no Cups for us :( I'm pretty sure Buffalo has to hold the record for city with professional teams that haven't ever won a national championship.. The Bills (45 years) + Sabres (40 years)...

Mike Richter, Mark messier, and cannot forget Matteau, who did the wrap around in Game 7 against the devils!

Maybe one day you will get a cup never lose hope =)

Red Wings fan here, helps to make up for the rest of our teams ie:Detroit Lions..:) ineptitude,..lol...but i must admit it's nice to have a team that goes deeep into the playoffs almost every year and every now and then wins the cup, i also was a fan when they were known as the dead wings,...and yup i am old...XD..party on

Leafs fan here. Hoping for them to finish 8th this season.

Haha, Kessel and Versteeg had good showings in the preseason, but that won't mean much if they don't produce in the season.

I still see huge holes in their D and goaltending. They need Schenn and Phaneuf to perform, and stop Kaberle from whining. I probably follow the Leafs closer than any other team besides my Sabres. Probably the Caps too, just because I'm such a huge Ovechkin fan.

I'm a NHL fan but only casually. I like to keep up with my team the SJ Sharks though it has been a rough time in the past few years. They do so good until the playoffs. Ehh what can I say that is how sports work, the best team wins.
