    Default UFC 118

    UFC 118 is over.
How do you like it? What's your thoughts on that event?

I have to give all credits to Edgar. He just won BJ Penn. Twice. That worth something.

But, in my opinion UFC lightweight division is becoming more and more boring. And you know why? All this new undefeated and unbeaten guys like Edgar, Maynard & etc. have nothing in comparison with Penn, Florian. And if you look at the other top guys: Aldo, Aoki, Melendez they have this will to end the fight, to give a damn good fight to public. But these new ufc lightweight division top fighters, especially Edgar and Maynard, they both have 9 UFC fights and 7 decisions. I am very disappointed with main-event. And waiting for Aldo to join UFC Lightweights and destroy this bunch of kids.

Toney - Couture. I am speechless, training for 9 months and unable to counter the basic one leg takedown, is something incredible. And for me Toney was just looking for some money and chasing Dana, and probably got the highest pay for that evening.

Maia - Miranda. Really boring for not-bjj/grappling fans. And looks like Miranda was kinda sleepy all fight long. It says they both have JJ black belts.... very interesting. ;)

Lauzon - Ruediger. I expected that. This guy (Lauzon) is so smooth in the octagon. Watch this fight, u will love it.

Diaz - Davis. Diaz had big reach advantage and that helped him implement his game plan a lot. Davis had no luck with these cuts. Well I would rather give Fight of the night to Edgar for beating down Penn.

It was ok - not as good as some of the previous cards. I enjoyed the Diaz fight the most. BJ looked lost out there and didn't seem have made any adjustments at all. Why not clinch and shoot more and work his superior ground game? It is not like Edgar has much ko power.

Toney was an embarrassment. Freakshows should stay in Strikeforce and Dream.

ssooo sad with this card,to start off i hate nate diaz but give props when props are due and he beat up markus davis FIRST letdown

kenny florian i thought for sure would smash maynard but nope SECOND letdown

randy couture vs toney now ima total mma fan so ofcourse im going for couture. he made toney look stupid for trying. i was hoping for a lil bit more of a fight but randy did what everyone knew he can do.

bj penn vs edgar mmmaaannnnn i was soo upset bj one of my alltime favorite fighters man so i was soo sad wen he lost. hes corner is fuking stupid i have no clue why why he didnt wanna take him down more.bj looked like he gave up.

well hopefully ufc 119 lil bit better cause i was letdown by this card

The card seemed awesome... however the fights were mediocre. It was good to see fat Toney get submitted. Disappointed towards Kenny and BJ. Expected more from them. Gray Maynard is for real. I think he'll beat F Edgar because of his relentless take downs.

I'm disappointed couture didn't smashed tony's face a bit more and like bonnar said "let his face tell the story of the fight".
You got to like nate and his brother, I just love them.
As for Maynard and Edgar, their style is so boring, come on, I hate wrestling...

Well it was obvious that randy was going to win,he took him down after only 20 seconds and just showed him who the daddy was."Lights out" really needs some more training as if he continues all the UFC heavyweights will not stand up with him, they will just take him down and win from there.

BJ penn disappointed me he was terrible he has gone backwards since his first loss to edger.I still think he is the greatest lightweight of all time.

I thought the card was great! I loved the Davis/Diaz fight and loved watching Randy beat Toney. Frankie did it again! He silenced the critics and dominated BJ for all 5 rounds. Not to mention one of the most dominating performances by Lauzon. He went out there and executed his game plan so perfect it was beautiful!

This is another example of a card with awesome fighters that turns to be an average card.
I guess that new comers have much more to prove and take more risks and therefore make things more exciting.

Penn looks like has lost all the fire he once had (he said that he wanted to relax and have a good time with his new fights...I preferred him all fired up).
I have to give all the credit to Edgar, but I will always root for Penn and hate every time I see him lose (well when he fought GPS I had mixed feelings since I love both fighters).

Couture win was expected but I never expected to see such a lack of defense from Toney and hoped to see some more action.,,Toney really looked a fool especially after all of his trash talk.

Ben Stiller freezes once again in front of a big fight (Boston is his town) and didn't look determined.

Best fights where the ones with Nate and Lauzon.
