    Default The Best Team and Athlete Ever.

    I would say it definitely goes to the '96 Chicago Bulls! As for the best athlete... who else? Michael Jordan. With a team record of 72 wins and only 10 losses! It's insane. AND a total sweep in the Playoffs until the Finals, but they still won a championship in 6 games. That is absolutely amazing.



    Jordan, Pippen, Rodman, Phil, Kukoc, Longley, Harper, Kerr.. they were a Veteran team!

    I second the vote. Jordan had to be the best but an honorable mention goes out to

    Barry Sanders

    who was the BEST RUNNING BACK ever but was never on a decent team.

    The 1998 New York Yankees for me. No individual athlete who shone, it was a collective effort. They finished with a record of 114 wins and 48 losses, 22 games ahead of the second-place Boston Red sox. And Derek Jeter was still a young shortstop then along with Mariano Rivera, Pettite and Posada.

    ok this is not really mainstream sport, but...USA Beijing Swimming Team, and the athlete, i dunno, maybe...what was the name... Michael Phelps, he had a few good swims, didnt he :001_smile:

    For team I'd say Barcelona of the last 5 years,it's just a menace unleashed upon all the other poor teams.They scored above 3 goals per match in 2008 winning every title they participated this season,championship,cup,champions league,super cup,world cup,I mean holy shit.

    As for athlete I'd say Gabriel Batistuta.A beast of a striker,awesome scoring statistics and he always was on a very small for his capabilities team(Fiorentina).
