Thread: Lebron James' Announcment

What did everyone think of his announcement. I am talking about the fact that he had a 1 hour long espn program to "announce" what all the commentators already new was true. Am I the only one who thinks he is a bit high on himself?

I think most of the sports superstars are pretty high on themselves. I'm just glad it is finally over so we don't have to hear about it non-stop. I read a bunch of cleveland bars are giving out free drinks if you turn in and shred Lebron jerseys/shirts.

He did donate that 1 hour special to the Scouts of America though. He most likely thinks of himself highly though.

I currently live in suburban Cleveland, and I have to say it was a sad day on Thursday. It's been such a big disappointment how he's handled the whole thing.

He is what most celebrity and major athlete are egomaniacs they really think that they are above and beyond humanity, at least we don't have to hear his name every time we turn on the Television anymore

not gonna be enough basketball to go round for all them stars lol but they should be fun to watch......

IMO, if Miami comes short of winning a title this year or next year the team will have a lot of issues. One of Lebron or Wade will have to leave and considering everything(Age, Talent, etc) Lebron will stay and Wade will most likely be traded, how ironic would that be if it happens!

IMO, if he was going to do an 1 hour special on national tv, at least spend 30 minutes apologizing to the fans in Cleveland. I thought he was going back to Cleveland but I guess he took the easy way out by joining forces with Wade/Bosh. Even if he multiple championships with that squad he'll always be remembered as the guy who left his team to play with other stars to win and should never be compared to MJ, Kobe and the likes.
