    Default Ghana - Australia

Half time is 1:1. It seems Ghana will have better chance in 2nd half.

Will edit this later but so far i think the Australian red card was bull, will definitely impact our chances, like WTF im not happy. Okay give a penalty but red card is a definite no no how in the world are you supposed to escape a flying ball at your arm. Ahhhhhhhh im angry. What about the Ghana slide tackle on Bresicano, only a yellow and when Tim Cahil pulled back and bent his knees he got a Red card, this is utterly bull and bad refereeing.

1-1 final score, but again, the red card was shown to easy. That chest+had of Kewell is only yellow card not red.

Lads Im actually a referee as reluctant as i am to admit it.

Im in complete agreement with the referees decision to send kewell off.

As per the laws of the game if a player deliberately handballs which prevents a goal scoring opportunity it will be counted as unsporting behaviour rather than deliberate handball which then he should be issued a RED card.

As a pro footballer Kewell should of been standing with his arms and shoulders facing away from the ball to prevent this.
It looks unlucky that Kewell was just in the path of a whacked ball but at the end of the day his arm prevented a certain goal and he should be sent off.

I must defend the ref on this occasion but there are many referees at this tournament that simply don't have a clue about refereeing.

Though in soccer if your arm is attached to your side and the ball hits you its not classified as a handball. Kewell's arms were attached to his body and the ball struck him, he did not extend his arm to stop the ball instead it flew at like 5 million KM an hour and struck him in the arm, he couldn't avoid it. Even though okay im with the ref you want, give them a penalty but sending off for that i believe isn't fair.

I don't think the handball was deliberate. Kewell was defending when the ball was shot at him. I don't think he had the time or chance to move his arms or shoulders away. If you look at the replay Kewell had his eyes closed when the ball hit him. I agree he probably stopped a goal but think it should of been a yellow card.
