Thread: MLB: Favorite Team and why?

So, like the title says who is your favorite MLB team and why?


For me it's the Boston Red Sox. :laugh:



I think for a lot of us our favorite sports teams are something we grow up with. I grew up in an interesting family where my father'ss all came from the Boston area and were avid Red Sox fans. On the other hand, my mother's family all came from New York and were die hard Yankee fans. Needless to say family get events were interesting! :laugh: I don't think we ever agreed on anything other than that the other team sucked (all in fun). lol




So how about everyone else? What is your favorite team and how did you become a fan?

for me its the New York Yankees, because I was born and raised in New York City and never liked the Mets now I lived in Mass but I only like the Celtics out of the NE teams

Ya just moving shouldn't change the type of fan you are. :001_smile:

It would be sacrilegious to go from being a Yankee fan to a Red Sox fan. lol

Good man....Sox it is! Grew up in Phillies country. Everyone I knew was a Phils fan. My first baseball glove was a Fred Lynn sig model. Didn't know who he was or who he played for. Looked through box scores in the newspaper. Found he was on Boston. So....Boston became my team.

Go Red sox! I just hope they can get healthy....its eating me on the inside that Tampa Bay is ahead of us.

grew up here so being the ever faithful fan i must now say its the DETROIT TIGERS...no laughing please,.....hey you gotta stick with yor team thru thick and thin....most sports teams do the roller coaster ride thru out the lifetime of thier fans...party on all and enjoy your teams..............
