    Default Big Ben Roethlisberger

I'm just wondering what the opinion of people here is on Ben Roethlisberger. With all the drama around his misbehaviour in both Nevada and Georgia not to mention his motorcycle accident how do you feel about the guy?

And on top of that do how good a player do you think he is without the off the field incidents and what would you do with him if you had to make the choice for the Steelers.

Personally I have to say I have a great dislike for athletes who behave like that, I mean sure there's no court case in this instance but the way he and some other athletes are running around with an armed posse of bodyguards like they own the place and pretend rules don't belong to them doesn't exactly say much good about their personality.

When it comes to the player I've always felt he's a bit overrated myself, sure he makes a lot of plays by holding on to the ball but he also takes a lot of sacks because of it, I think he's not nearly the quarterback that Philip Rivers (who got drafted in the same year) is but he just happened to land in a far better spot. I reckon I would see if Dennis Dixon has anything to give and if he does I would see if the raiders might be willing to give up a 1st rounder sometime soonish they seem to love doing that :).

As A RAVENS fan i hate the steelers with a passion. That goes for anybody on the team.

But I have to admit he does need to check himself and stop expecting people to give him things..

As a player on the field he's got a lot left in him no doubt. Off the field, I agree, he needs to check himself. Players in any pro sport nowadays are acting ridiculously childish. As far as i'm concerned I would trade some of todays great pro players that behave like idiots, for less talented but more professional individuals.

Just listen to the Eminem "Despicable Freestyle"... Haha he pretty much tears apart Big Ben. Personally, I don't really think it is that big of a deal (the girl was clearly just trying to squeeze an easy dollar). However, I do think that it reflects poorly upon his character. He obviously isn't a very likeable guy, because every bar he goes to he has to keep an entourage of security guards and seems to just draw negative attention everywhere he goes. He is like the John Daly of football right now. Just another big, fat, talented athlete.

When your an NFL quarterback there's always good looking women ready to enjoy your company, in every city you visit. Why would you need to ever be that aggressive with the ladies. He's got some issues he needs to sort out, both as a team mate and in his personal life.
