Thread: Your thoughts on the NHL Playoffs?

I'm really suprised how tight the Games are even for Teams like Washington Capitals.

The Habs sucked the whole Season and never care on Important Games and now they are Playing like wtf. The Sharks are complete jokes. Its like a Voodoo Curse they suck every Playoffs. Personally i really like how LA Kings compete with the Canucks.


If all those favoured Teams suck, the Pens will win the Stanley Cup again.

I'm no NHL fan but I do like to follow the playoffs as I did last season since I have ESPN America.
Interesting to see top seeded geting into troubles with the Devils already out, the Capitals were so close of going 0-2 down and the Sabres needing to win 3 in a row.
The Penguins started bad, turned it around and could have finished it but the Senators nailed them at home in 3OT.
I love playoffs!

Yesterday the Penguins could have decided the round but instead complicated their life losing at home. Today the Capitals decided to follow their example and lost at home. Let's see how messy it will get.

It seems the NHL playoffs are not that popular here, but as I'm following it I will keep posting.
Today I was able to see the 3rd period and overtime of the Senators X Penguins game, when I joined it was 3-1, it looked as if a game 7 was around the corner but the Pens had an excellent final period and sent it to overtime that eventually won. Can't help feeling a bit sorry for the Senators as they were so close to win 2 in a row and force game 7, only to die at the beach.

Im cheering for the Boston Bruins. I have faith in them, but I wouldnt put money on them. Atleast they are making it to the second round where it looks like it will be the Caps. :S

Yesterday I saw a great exibition from the Canadians goalkeeper Jaroslav Halak, he was geting everything and stopped 52 shots before they eventually got one, but then it was already too late and there will be a game 7.

More teams advancing, yesterday the Bruins and the Blackhawks and today the Red Wings in style away in Phoenix. only one more before all games are set for the conference semi finals:

Boston x Philadelphia
Pittsburgh x Washington or Montreal
Chicago x Vancouver
San Jose x Detroit

Let them all go to game 7!

Misery for the Capitals and Ovechkin because once again Halak happened!

No Pens x Caps series, a shame but that's how it is. After being 3-1 up and losing 2 games at home that has to hurt!

Ugh. That hurts. I'm a Caps fan. And I managed to get some free tickets to Game 7. That was such a painful game.

Thanks to Halak's goaltending and Mike Green's horrible plays, my team gets to 2nd round! Arrogance always leads nowhere. Expect Boudreau to lose his job.
