What did everyone think?

Hughes vs Gracie fight was dissapointing I thought. I think Hughes thought they would strike more than they did.

Thought Edgar was quicker then Penn the whole match, great that he is champion. I think BJ underestimated him.



Silva fight was rediculous. It'll be great when he fights GSP soon.

I expected more from Silva vs. Maia fight but it was boring just like Edgar vs. BJ Penn.

Dissapointing event. It seems that Abu Dhabi was too hot and made most fighters sleepy. I was very surprised by Silvas attitude and cockyness during the fight - I wasn't expecting that from him. Despite that I'm still on his side - he's an unbelievable athlete. Many people are pissed because he doesn't entertain them, but MMA is not about entertainment, it's about sport. At least for me.

i lost a lot of respect for silva. he should have just finished the fight like a man and stop prancing around. not sure what he was trying to prove there. I hope he does go down a class to fight GSP. Maybe he'll fight to his potential then.,,

I think the GSP vs Silva fight will be incredible. I am hoping for one of the best fights ever in UFC.

A shame that Anderson Silva behaved that way, there was no need for that. Dana White was so furious that even before the fight was over he handed the belt to Silva's manager and it seems that for the first time ever he didn't put the belt around the champion at the end. He said he never felt so embarrassed.

What a surprise to see B.J. without pace and a solution for Frankie Edgar.

It was annoying to hear all commentators not being able to pronounce correctly Rafael do Anjos name. They kept saying ANIOS.In english Anjos means Angels, so I didn’t understand why it was so hard to say it correctly.
Overall I was not pleased at all with UFC 112.

I’m fairly recent to watching UFC, only since UFC 100, but regarding Georges St-Pierre it’s funny that in a way he reminds me of FC Barcelona, a team that takes possession of the ball and dominates the opponent with attacking football, hardly letting them explore their game.
And for the two combats I’ve seen of GSP, not to mention highlights of his previous fights, he pretty much imposes his game and dominates the opponent. He seems to be able to make takedowns whenever he wants and that’s amazing. In the other hand, Anderson Silva seems extremely slippery to be taken down as he showed against Maia, so it would be fascinating to see such fight happen, the problem is that it may take a while as I read that Dana White said that Anderson’s next title defence could be at UFC 117 against Chael Sonnen in August.
