Thread: Who do you think will be the top scorer in the World Cup?

Who do you think will be the top scorer in this summers World Cup in South Africa?

I think Wayne Rooney (England) is showing all the signs it could be his year.

I believe the top scorer will be David Villa. I wonder why he isn't in the poll as he was also the top scorer in Euro 2008. It's definitely going to be either him or Miroslav Klose depending on whether Spain or Germany advance to the finals.

To be fair I only picked 1 player from each nation and I believe Torres is a far greater threat these days than Villa, and Klose has no chance at all, too old plus Germany aren't very good these days. Plus there is a 'other' option.

Torres is also a great striker and he has a great chance as well, but Spain's poacher is always Villa. But it will be interesting on how these two strikers combine as both are top strikers.

As for Klose, he may be old but he always scores for Germany and Germany always play well in World Cup. I think they'll reach the semi-finals.

I must admit I was torn between Torres and Villa but Torres is just so good, and your right about Germany, they do normally pull it out when it counts but they look unusually weak this time.

Ronaldo probably has good skill and will work just better with team

If goals only with the foot .. Kaka will be more if it were allowed to hand Henry is sure to be the top scorer in World Cups ... surpassing even Ronaldo

If Torres is healthy I think he will definitely be up there.
