favre isn't the greatest ever. he's made far too many boneheaded plays (along with many great plays). i mean the NFC championship game is a prime example. all he had to do was run for a first down, bring in the FG kicker and make plans for their trip to the SB.

instead, he breaks one of the cardinal rules for QBs: never throw a pass across your body and over the middle of the field. nothing ever good happens when you do that. lo and behold he does it and it gets intercepted and the saints go to the SB.

without going into my novel length explanation i will simply say that when it's all said and done, tom brady will go down as the greatest QB of all time. his knee injury put him behind schedule but he is healthy this year. he also has weapons similar to 2007 (and unlike 2009). patriots had to replace 6 of 11 starters on defense after the 2008 season (team leaders like bruschi, vrabel, harrison and seymour) and the new defense was very inexperienced. they now have had a season under their belts and will play better.

patriots will return to the superbowl this season and brady will hoist his 4th lombardi.

    Tom Brady
Guy was a 6th round pick and look at what he has accomplished.
He may have Moss/Welker now , but he won those Super Bowls without either.
I am a big Brett Favre fan though, but have tired of his retirement charade the past couple seasons.

Man, glad to see all the Brady love going on! Any other native New Englanders here aside from myself? (Maine born and rasied).

On topic, the title of this thread would be truer if it was "Brett Favre 1st ballot HOF?" or "Brett Favre on of the best for our generation?" But best ever? No way.

As it stands right now Montana, Manning and Brady easily blow him out of the water. And if something happens that brady gets another ring or manning gets a couple more, they will take that honor.
