Default Artest going to Lakers

What do you think about this? Will this move by the Lakers make them stronger? Or will this ruin the team's chemistry?

I admit I was surprise to learn this, but I hope this works well for the Lakers.

Artest would definitely boost the Lakers' defense. As for chemistry, it's all about a player's flexibility to fit a certain role. So far, Artest has shown this flexibility.

On the other hand, I'm not sure how PJ will handle rotation between Ariza, Odom and Artest. I smell a trade... Odom anyone?

I think Ariza will leave the Lakers for the Rockets, and Odom will stay.

As Kobe said, Artest is the only player in the NBA that has made him struggle on the offensive end. And now that there on the same team, next season will be a treat. I smell a double three-peat!

Wow Artest to the Lakers will definitely bolster their defense.

Remember when they lost last year in the Finals and people were openly doubting their toughness and their passion? Well, they won't doubt them anymore!

Artest is one of the toughest, grittiest, in your face players I've seen in awhile. The way he plays defense is spectacular and I enjoyed his battles with Kobe this year in the playoffs. Artest and Battier made a sweet defensive combination... it's a shame they lost Yao...

But yeah Lakers look tougher now. If they bring back Odom, things are gonna look bad for the rest of the West.

As for the East though... you know who'll be bringing it - THE CELTICS BABY!

This is the reason why the Lakers are the best sports organization in the world.
Rodman-Artest. No chemistry problem. MJ-Kobe, Phil, Rodman-Artest. Chances of NBA Championship has risen. Hopefully, they'll be able to sign ODOM and Brown.

I agree artest makes them better but I don't like the idea of stepping on all the people that helped get you to that level by tossing ariza aside like a used tissue after all his contributions during the playoffs =(

Yeah. Same thing happened to Courtney Lee. Some of these NBA teams are acquiring vets to boost their firepower rather than working their way up. They're indirectly buying their way to getting a ring by acquiring vets. This is the reason why I do not like the Lakers and Celtics.
