Thread: Yankees?

I have always been a Yankee fan my whole family is from The Bronx New York and I think that it's a joke what they are doing they pay all this money for players who don't get the job done they don't have a good pitching line up they got rid of the manager that did so great and didn't even make it to the playoffs last year And this year looks about the same



So what do you think they are doing wrong and do you think they have a chance to win the world series any time soon??

I am a ny'er and a yankee fan..... They just need to stop getting the superstars and get good quality younger players... their line up is getting older and they still have a huge pitching problem.... year after year its the same story.

I agree when they were winning world series in the past it was a team that had grew together not one that had grew with another team and was brought over and they always had a great pitching lineup now they don't have that and the rely on Rivera to come in and clean up their mistakes night after night and he is out of his prime

The problem is: They have too much money. Yes I said it, too much. If you have a lot of money you can buy anything. That = a very bad thing for NY. They can buy anyone they want, meaning they dont need to build up a farm system. Look at what the Rays did. Once the lowest pay roll in the majors. Last season they won that division & went to the WS. The Yankees dont have good scouts OR a good farm system. The saying goes you cant buy success. This is holding true not only for the Yanks, but for the Cubs who have a very high pay roll also.

Money isnt everything...
