Hamilton indeed might be on the podium but I would be more concerned about Ferrari in that vastly improved car.

Well seem Button qualified on pole
The big surprise was Hamilton 16th row and raikonnen second
Uhh
Seems like I found myself a F1 thread here :001_smile:.
Did the thread die in Monaco? lol.
Anyways, here's my view on things:
Nice race in Monaco. Good to see Ferrari doing well again and I'm sure they'll be better this weekend, in Turkey. After all, Monaco isn't even a KERS track.
Button and Brawn dominating so far, obviously. It's very impressive and I'm sure everone thinks that.. However, it's BORING, lol. Right now I'm actually hoping they won't finish a race.
However, the battle between all other teams are keeping the interest alive, and they've shown they are capable to beat Brawn.. sometimes, at least.
My prediction for the TurkishGP; Ferrari and Massa as the winner.
Predicting Ferrari is pretty brave, the brawns have been super dominant so far. But you could be right. For me the talk should not be about drivers but about Ross Brawn, his track record is immense, with Beneton 2 titles, moves to Ferrari and 7 titles (yes he had Schumacher, but still), goes to Honda, who are a huge joke, and transforms them under amazingly hard circumstances into the most dominant team. on top of this his design work early in his career was pretty great. he is the one who should be getting the praise, not button. I mean button is a good driver, but I find it hard to beliveve that any other good driver (Massa, Hamilton, Alonso) would not be this far ahead given such a great car/team.
I agree with you, noshamosh.
Button is not a bad driver, but if he's better than the other top drivers in F1.. nah. Most of the praise should go to Ross Brawn. He's incredible.
I'm also wondering if Button and Barrichello are given an equal chance, or if Button is considered the 1st driver and therefor given benefits.
Hey,
As far as I heard Barrichello, wasnt having any of that when he signed. He said he dealt with it a lot in his career especially in Ferrari, and said he wont be doing that anymore. I think Ross agreed and is letting them go at it.I'm also wondering if Button and Barrichello are given an equal chance, or if Button is considered the 1st driver and therefor given benefits.
I dont think they are making button a first driver, i do think button is just a bit better than barrichello, and in spain, button won becuase he had a stormer of a middle stint, and barrichello had a shocker. I also think that button may have a better engieering team/pit crew etc. in the pits (the two drivers have different crews who compete) which could explain a bit, whether this is favouritism is debatable (or if it is anything other than idle speculation).
I see your point. However I do find it weird that his crew decided to change the strategy for him.. esp when he was doing so good, and well.. he was the leader.
Anyways, I hope he'll get a victory soon. He deserves one.
What teams/drivers are you all cheering on?
Baruchello chose himself for the 3 stop strategy
Obviously button is the better driver and you can see that by him setting much better lap times
however in Turkey Ferrari will be the winner i am 80 % sure of that
Riakonnen seems to be doing better and Istanbul park is felipe's favorite circuit. He won for the past 3 years at in turkey
we will see
Uhh
