Mayweather vs Ortiz (9/17/11)
The fight just ended 10 minutes ago. I dont really watch boxing but this fight caught my attention. Anyway, I didnt really like the ending. It was a classless move by Mayweather. I dont want to spoil it for others right now. Just want to hear some opinions from you guys.

Never seen anything like this before...I mean headbutt? WTF !! I need to watch the video again though....this fight will surely be analyzed a lot

I'm ok with the head butt, but when a guy apologizes to you that it was "my bad" and exposes himself like that to apologize then you cant just do what Mayweather did. For God's sake, he was apologizing to you, let it go then continue the fight when everyone's ready.Originally Posted by game007

mayweather is a great boxer. but he is also a racist, cheapshot chump. i watched the fight last nite at a bar with a bunch of friends, and i have no idea who ortiz is, but i will back anybody that will beat pretty boy's ass. hopefully it will be the pac-man.
and larry merchant had the best line of the nite to mayweather..." if i was 50 yrs younger, i would kick your ass"

I watch the fight last night and it makes me think that I might not going to watch any more of this fighters future fights, come on why is Ortiz apologizing like he did not intent to do that, and for Mayweather ,well see it for yourself,for this two.

Well you have to think about where Mayweather comes from.
His father was a streetfighter and criminal. He was also a professional boxer. He forced Floyd to be a fighter from a young age. He trained him into the ground from the age of 5 years old and kept him in line. He even got shot one time when he was holding Floyd at the time. His father was also a drug dealer and drug user, as was his mother.
Now they don't talk. Floyd Sr. wishes he could be the fighter Floyd Jr. is while Floyd Jr. wishes he could have been the hustler/gangster his father was I think.
Mayweather is a tough guy and one of the best of all time I think. There is no doubt about his skills.
I've seen him do what he did to Ortiz in other fights. He did it vs Mosley when Mosley was trying to apologise to him for something. He did it in the first round vs Arturo Gatti and knocked him down when Gatti was looking at the ref.
Mayweather comes from a tough school.
As for Ortiz, the headbutt was blatant and cut Mayweathers lip. Also I think he could have got up from the punch from Mayweather but didn't because he realised he was going to take an ass whooping.
