    Default µTorrent Backup Tool

    µTBackup

    Nifty GUI powered tool.

µTBackup is a freeware program which is made for backing up and then restoring µTorrent setting files.

It's working routine is really plain: it compresses the directory which contains µTorrent files and saves it with .utb extension. GUI is as simple as it can ever be. In addition, it's possible to use command line parameters to do the tricks, also silently if necessary.

    Download it from here.

Now open the tool and click in (backup µTorrent files).

Then, save it with the name you want on your PC.

Now you can begin to setup Your new windows and when it is done, go to the tool and click in (restore 'em) .

Chose the file that you saved on the tool .

Now you will find all files in your µTorrent again.

Make sure µTorrent is closed before you begin the restore process.

    Thanks.

    OR
if you keep utorrent data on other drives (not the OS drive) you can use synctoy to sync the app data, so if your PC dies you can plug the hard drive in another computer, and install utorrent and copy the app data across, just make sure all file paths and folders have the same name.

I was making my back up by copying uTorrent settings folder from "Application Data" folder. Then i found this tutorial on how to make it portable:
    Copy dht.dat, resume.dat and settings.dat from "C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\uTorrent" to the same folder as uTorrent.exe
Place uTorrent folder not on a system disk and you don't need to worry about making back up before reinstalling windows.

I don't know why, but this backup tool didn't work for me.
Once I wanted to restore my backup settings, this tool FAILED and I lost all my uT config. I better choose to copy->paste my uT settings folder.
